Fairy Tales by The Brothers Grimm

Illustrations created as a project in graphic design for a diploma for the art school that I graduated from, this year. The project was a book for children with illustrations to the fairy tales of the Grimm brothers:

'The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats'
and

 'The Singing Bone'.

Cover of the book.
The process started with a sketch made on a computer or paper. For the next step I was using watercolour to create illustrations that I later scanned and further processed in programs such as Photoshop and CorelDRAW. At the moment, the project is coming to an end, leaving only the printing of the book.
'The Singing Bone'
'The singing bone' is a fairy tale that isn't one of the most known creations from Grimm brothers but that was what encouraged me to illustrate it. Thanks to the lack of popularity of this story I was able to create the illustrations from scratch. Only with the help of my own imagination. Singing bone doesn't have a traditional good ending of a fairy tale but have a really important lesson: A lie has no legs.

'The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats'

'The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats' is a more commonly known fairy tale but still not one of the most known. This fairy tale has a special place in my heart as one of my favourites when I was a child.

'A needle and thread danced' by Polish poet Jan Brzechwa
I have designed my first illustrations for a book in 2017. The entire project was completed in CorelDRAW. It was one of the first projects that I've made in the graphic design studio. Thanks to work on this design, I have fallen in love with illustrations, which made me want to continue my education in this direction.
